The New York Yankees will no longer allow fans to use print at home tickets, rather a physical ticket or mobile ticket will be required for entry into the stadium (Li, Feb. 18).
The Yankees have an exclusive partnership with Ticket Exchange, which will be the only outlet a mobile ticket can be purchased this season. Thus allowing the Yankees to corner much of their own secondary ticket market next season.
Fans will still be able to purchase tickets from StubHub and other outlets, but they will need to do so while leaving ample time to collect a physical ticket from the seller. Thus hurting the convenience of last minute purchasing that secondary ticket options have become known for.
