Yankees OF Clint Frazier has been sent back down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre again in light of Gary Sanchez hitting the DL on Monday.
Frazier has voiced his frustration of staying in Triple-A despite the fact that he is killing minor-league pitching. He his slashing .312/.389/.558 with seven homers and 11 RBI over 38 games.
Though Frazier has been the odd-man out in a loaded Yankees outfield, GM Brian Cashman has noted he wants to keep rather than deal him as he pursues an added roation arm before the trade deadline.
"We'd like to hold on to him," Cashman told the Daily News' Mike Mazzeo on Frazier. "I know he's someone that we're going to get asked a lot about, and so far we've been able to say no and hand-check everything, but I'm a big Clint Frazier fan."
Other than Frazier, Kyle Higashioka was recalled to replace Sanchez on the roster. Also, RHP Giovanny Gallegos was recalled as an additional bullpen arm.
